I have been listening to Rap music since I was 11 years old. And I have been writing about it, publicly, since I was 22 years old. My mother thought it was an absurd idea then and she does now. The harder core the rap, the better the connection — at least that holds true for me most of the time.

When I first heard TI’s first CD, “I’m Serious,” I was delighed at his banter and laid back flow. To meet him was not different. He is a laid back guy, but surely on a mission. We met in Kenosha and after the initial uncomfortable-ness of invading someone’s space, I was able to get to know the guy, who three projects later, is in himself, his own evolutionary musical master.

I ended up writing three stories about him. One appeared in Ya’Heard Magazine, the other in Eagle Star News and the final one can be found by following this link to hiphophotspot.com.
